There is nothing like Gauley in Spring & Summer! You think you know the Gauley, but now you can run this legendary river at a range of levels outside of Fall Gauley flows. Our guides love this trip and we know you will too, whether you are a novice or seasoned veteran. Our specially trained guide staff provides helpful tips to help you get the most out of your experience.
Because this trip is High Adventure, you must be in good physical condition and be able to swim. We also require that you have previous experience with moving water. We closely monitor the Gauley River conditions, choosing the craft and section of river the morning of your trip to give you the best ride possible. You could take on the Gauley in a nimble four-person raft or in your own inflatable kayak! This trip is available April 1 thru September 3, 2008.
Water levels are measured in CFS (cubic feet per second)
and dictate the craft for the day.
250 - 650 CFS:
Duckies will be used. Guide to guest ratio is 1 to 5 for your safety.
650 - 4000 CFS:
Rafts will be used, either 4, 6 or 8 person rafts chosen for the best possible ride.
We reserve the right to change river sections if we feel that you are not well suited to the rigors of this adventure.
